ANNOUNCEMENTS

·         Key Club members that did not attend the meeting pick up the minutes from the office.

·         Any senior that has attended Natural Helpers and would be interested in being a leader, see Mr. Rosta ASAP.

·         Blood Drive at WHS on Thursday Oct 19th.  See Mr. Boruff for more details.

·         Picture Re-takes for grades 9-11 will be on Wed Oct 18th.  Bring your original packet for re-takes.  If you did not get your picture taken pick up a packet from the office.

 

GUIDANCE NEWS

§  All students are encouraged to begin their student profile to qualify for the Dollars for Scholars scholarship.  Go to uniontownship.dollarsforscholars.org,

§  Seniors your DFS application must be completed before April 7th, 2018. Click the “My Scholarship portion of your profile to view all scholarships you may qualify for.  You must click “SUBMIT” to complete.  See your Guidance counselor for more details.

 

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

·         Basketball sizing for shoes and travel suits is today during lunch.  Contact Mr. Johnson if you have questions.

·         WHS girls interested in playing basketball this coming season should plan on practices starting this coming Monday the 16th at 3:30 pm     Practice will be 3:30 - 5:00 on Monday. Players MUST HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL to participate  Practice schedules and game schedules will be given out on Monday

·         Swimming and diving team call-out meeting is Today at 3:00pm in the pool area. Any girl or boy who is interested in joining the swimming and diving teams should attend this meeting.  An athletic physical is required to be on file before you can start practicing

·         The track & field call-out meeting is Nov 1st @ 3:30 pm in the cafeteria. The meeting will last until 4:15 pm at the latest.  All students need to have a ride after the meeting. This meeting is for all student-athletes not involved in a winter sport.  There will be no conditioning practice that day due to the meeting.

 

SPORTS RESULTS:

The Bearcat bowlers bowled in Hobart this week.  Both teams lost their matches.  High rollers for the Bearcats were Kody Horan 141  140, Brian Rogan 143  148, Hayden Meadows 149, Cassie Harris  148  189, Halie Minard  175  180, and Corinne Miller  176  228.  Their next match is next Thursday at Inman's.
