HAPPY BIRTHDAY: tomorrow to Anthony Getty, Sunday to William Melhorn and Megan Heavner

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

·         Congratulations to Mr. Kosal’s resource, they are the first drawing winners for the Out to Lunch prize. The Freshmen are leading the way for the Class with the Most Spirit. By completing 15 family baskets. Sophomores and Juniors are tied at 12, and our largest class the seniors have 9 which were completed by only 2 resources.

·         Movie Club will meet after school TODAY in Silver Dragon (Mr. B's) room. All are invited to attend.

·         Social Studies Academic Team members will meet in Ms. Mak's room during second resource TODAY, bring your lunch if you need to. 

·         All Wheeler High School students: If you are feeling stressed and want to talk to another student, consider talking to one of the WORMS: Warriors of Reducing Mental Stress. Look at one of the WORMS posters hanging in the hallways for more information.

SPORTS RESULTS:

The Boys swim team dominated North Newton last night 126-40.  The boys won every event contested.  Leading the way with first place finishes were Bobby Emery, Liam Hostetler, Evan Nowak, Riley Henslee, Hudson Hall, Sonny Vitello and Mikey Ruane.  The girls team also defeated North Newton yesterday. First Place Finishers:Laura Wong, Bailey Fairbairn, Aimee Bolde, Hailey Orosz, Emily Gaylord, Second Place Finishers: Emma Hellwege, Emily Gaylord, Katelin Gaylord, Laura Wong, Kaitlin Shaver, Aimee Bolde Third Place Finishers: Katelin Gaylord, Bailey Fairbairn, Emma Hellwege, Chanelle Hammond, Kaitlin Shaver, Diver Malina Clemans. Next up the Bearcat Swimmers and Divers will take on Michigan City at home on Tuesday, December 18th at 5:30pm.

 

SPORTS EVENTS FOR TODAY:

Lady Bearcat basketball is at home today against Hanover Central, JV plays at 5:30 followed by varsity at 7pm.

Saturday the wrestling team travels to Crown Point for a varsity tournament starting at 8am.

Boy’s basketball travels to Hanover on Saturday, JV plays at 5:30 followed by varsity at 7pm.
