HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Anaca Germain, Stephen Franczek, Michael Peasley

ANNOUNCEMENTS

·         NO SCHOOL THIS FRIDAY APRIL 19TH.

·         Attention sophomores:  The last Math ISTEP is tomorrow. English ISTEP part two testing will be next week Mon, Tue and Wed.  You will be in the same rooms as part one.

·         Student Council Teacher Appreciation Committee will meet 1st resource today in Ms. Mak's room. 

·         Social Studies Academic Team will meet today after school in Ms. Mak's room.

·         Special recognition is going out to The Wheeler High School Math, Science, Fine Arts, and Interdisciplinary teams, who all finished in second place in their respective subject areas at the WHS Academic Super Bowl yesterday evening.  Congratulations to all participants on a job well done!

·         There is a meeting for all student council members after school on Thursday in Ms. Mak's room. Paperwork for Student Council and Class Officers will be available at this meeting. 

·         If you are interested in running for a class officer position for next school year, pick up paperwork from Ms. Mak's room (room 200) after school on Thursday through Thursday 5/2.  Paperwork will need to be returned and completed by the end of the school day on Thursday, May 2nd.

·         Seniors; send a baby and recent picture for the slide show to wheelerfoto19@gmail.com by May 8th.

 

PROM NEWS: “Once upon a Prom” is on April 26th, from 6:30 to 11pm. 

Attention all PROM GOERS:

·         After today, only TWO DAYS left to purchase your prom tickets! If you’re buying your ticket from Mrs. Lareau using cash or check, You MUST see her today or tomorrow (4/18).

·         If you have not purchased a ticket by the end of the day on Friday, your name will be removed from the table seating chart.

·         Lastly YOU MUST fill out the T-Shirt request form, in order to receive a guaranteed size. One person per couple needs to fill out this form for both of you.

·         If you are bringing a student from another school you must fill out a Guest Request form (forms are in the office).  Completed forms need to be turned in to Mrs. Bogs in the office by Wed 4/24.

·         Prom pictures packets are in the office.

 

GUIDANCE NEWS

Attention Seniors if you are planning on attending PNW in the fall and want to try out for the Cheer team: PNW Cheer & Stunt Team is holding Tryouts on 4/26; you must attend Clinics on 4/22 & 4/24; Info Mtg today (4/17) in Hammond.  Go to pnwpridespirit@gmail.com for more info.

 

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

·         Any girl interested in playing basketball next year should attend a brief meeting on Thursday, April 18th at 7:30 in the Media Center. This includes athletes who are in a spring sport.

·         Any girls interested in playing Golf team this fall are encouraged to come to the open hitting session at Creekside Golf Training Center Thursday (4/18) at 4:00.  If you have any questions, see Coach Lyons

·         Cheer workouts for anyone interested in cheering next year, Today from 5:30 to 7pm.  All are welcome. Cheer call out is on Wed April 17th in the Fieldhouse at 7pm, tryouts will be Monday April 22nd and Tuesday April 23rd. 5:30 to 7:30pm in the fieldhouse.
