Wheeler High School Registration

2016-2017

 

Registration for the 2016-17 school year will be August 3rd, 4th, and the 5th, 2016.   This year each day will be open registration with the following schedule:

                                          Morning Session                    Evening Session

Wed (Aug 3)                     11:00pm  - 3:00pm                 4:00pm - 7:00pm

Thu (Aug 4)                     11:00pm  - 3:00pm                 4:00pm - 7:00pm

Fri (Aug 5)                       11:00am  - 3:00pm

 

Registration consists of picking up your student's schedule, paying book rental, filling out and updating any of your student's personal information, along with emergency information.

You can save yourself time by going to your child's Harmony account and completing the Online Registration which will be available starting July 26th.  Guidance counselors will not be here during registration so please check your schedule. 

 

To pre-register (starting Jul 26th) go to www.union.k12.in.us/whs and then click on the "For Parents"  tab at the top of the webpage. Login to Harmony and click the "Online Registration" tab on the left side of the screen. From there you should complete the following components needed prior to registration.  If you have previously filled out the forms, you will not have to do it again.

 

 Demographics: Type in any changes; include to make sure emails are correct as this is our most often used form of communication with our parents. To enter text messaging we will need to know your carrier (ie; Verizon, T-Mobil)

  3. Race/Ethnicity
  4. CHIRP Release

 

 

On-line pre-registration will open up the last week of July.

  All you need to do is log into Harmony below, enter your students user name and password, choose "Demographic" listed on left side of home page, make any necessary changes and hit submit.  Then you will need to complete any documents listed, when completed hit submit.

Parents with students new to the Union Township School Corporation should enroll their children as soon as possible.  Students must attend school located in the district in which they reside.  The boundaries for each district are set aside by the Board of School Trustees. To determine which school a child will attend, parents should call Central Office at 219-759-2531, with their current address.
 

  • Parents or guardians should bring the most recent report card from the previous school. 

 

  • If parents are in the process of moving into Union Township, they need a letter from the realtor or builder with the anticipated date of residency. 
  • A parent or guardian must also provide a State Board of Health birth certificate, proof of state-required immunizations, two proofs of residency (NIPSCO or water bill, lease agreement, proof of home purchase), custody papers if parents are divorced, and guardianship papers if the child resides with someone other than the natural parents.
     

  • Textbook rental fees are due at the time of registration.
     

  • Transportation will be provided the first day of school.
     

  • For more information, please contact the school your child will attend.  If during summer break please call or come in during registration.
