BIRTHDAYS:  Aimee Bolde and Zach Bogdanich



·         Reminder that Wednesday will be our first Late Start day, classes begin at 8:15.

·         Anyone interested in participating in the Fall Musical production of Godspell will need to attend a short call-out meeting Today, after school in the auditorium.  This meeting will simply be to pick up materials for auditions and to sign up for crew as well as audition spots. 

·         Godspell Auditions will be Wednesday and Thursday, September 6th and 7th, also in the auditorium.  For more information, contact Ms. Haistma or Mrs. Ball.

·         Spanish Club will have the Tomato Bash in the east parking lot after school on Thursday.  Any member interested in participating needs to pick up a permission slip and information form from Sra. in room 203.  All participants must sign up, turn in their form, and have their dues paid.  Questions?  Talk to Sra.

·         There will be a robotics call out meeting Wednesday after school in room 906

·         Freshman class t shirt orders are due this Wed.  No late orders.

·         Sophomore Class Shirt Money MUST be turned in to Miss West by Friday, Sept. 8th. See your Resource teacher or the front office for an order form.

·         Senior class t-shirt money is due to Miss Eveland by tomorrow.

·         Homecoming Dance – Midnight Masquerade is Saturday Sept 16th from 7 to 10:30 by the fieldhouse.  Tickets are $20 per person and will go on sale next week during lunches.  If you are bringing a guest from another school you must have the “Guest Request” form turned into Mrs. Bogs by next Wed (Sep 13th).  Next week is Spirit Week.



Purdue Northwest College Fairs:  Sep 14th – Hammond Campus & Oct 2nd – Westville Campus.  Over 90 Colleges and universities will be on hand plus financial aid sessions.  Go to pnw.edu/college-fair for more information.

·         Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship application is now open to apply. Students interested in pursuing a career in education. To apply you must have a teacher complete a nomination form and upload it with your online application through ScholarTrack. Applications are due by Nov 30, 2017.



Track & field conditioning in the WHS field house this Wednesday from 3:30-5 pm



Girls’ soccer defeated Highland on Saturday 5-0.  Lyric Green had two goals and an assist, while Claudia Philips had two goals and two assists.  Gia Diaz scored once, and Tessa Haldeman had one assist.  Cheyenne Foor made six saves in the win.  The team is 8-0 on the year.



Girls’ golf tees up against Hobart at 4pm

Boys’ tennis will play at home against Calumet at 4:30

Girls’ varsity soccer will host Marquette at home at 5pm.
