ANNOUNCEMENTS

·         NO SCHOOL THIS FRIDAY APRIL 19TH.

·         Good luck to all WHS Academic team members as they compete in the area competition today.   Students from 9 schools (including Wheeler) are competing in English, science, math, social studies, fine arts, and interdisciplinary rounds.  This year's topic is "The Fertile Crescent".  The competition kicks off at 4:30 PM in the WHS auditorium.  Come and cheer on our teams.  

·         Attention sophomores:  This week is Math ISTEP part two; Mon, Tue and Thur. and English ISTEP part two testing will be next week Mon, Tue and Wed.  You will be in the same rooms you tested for part one.

·         Student Council Teacher Appreciation Committee will meet 1st resource on Wed in Ms. Mak's room. 

·         Social Studies Academic Team will meet on Wednesday after school in Ms. Mak's room.

·         There is a meeting for all student council members after school on Thursday in Ms. Mak's room. Paperwork for Student Council and Class Officers will be available at this meeting. 

·         Attention all Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen: If you are interested in running for a class officer position, the paperwork can be picked up in Ms. Mak's room (room 200) starting after school on Thursday and any time for the two weeks that follow. Paperwork will need to be returned and completed by the end of the school day on Thursday, May 2nd.

·         Seniors; don’t forget send a baby and recent picture for the slide show to wheelerfoto19@gmail.com by May 8th.

 

PROM NEWS: “Once upon a Prom” is on April 26th, from 6:30 to 11pm. 

·         Juniors and Seniors check your school email for important Prom information and to order your tickets.  Cost is $50.00 per person, on sale through this Friday (4//19)

·         If you are bringing a student from another school you must fill out a Guest Request form (forms are in the office)

·         Prom pictures packets are in the office.

 

GUIDANCE NEWS

 

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

·         Any girl interested in playing basketball next year should attend a brief meeting on Thursday, April 18th at 7:30 in the Media Center. This includes athletes who are in a spring sport.

·         Any girls interested in playing Golf team this fall are encouraged to come to the open hitting session at Creekside Golf Training Center Thursday (4/18) at 4:00.  If you have any questions, see Coach Lyons

·         Cheer workouts for anyone interested in cheering next year, are Wed (17th) from 5:30 to 7pm.  All are welcome. Cheer call out is on Wed April 17th in the Fieldhouse at 7pm, tryouts will be Monday April 22nd and Tuesday April 23rd. 5:30 to 7:30pm in the fieldhouse.

Boys golf plays at Summer Tree against Hanover Central today at 4:30

Baseball and Softball will take on Whiting at home today, games start 5pm
