Our 5th & 8th graders enjoyed watching the rehearsal of Bearcat Theatre’s A Christmas Carol! This week. Biology students were hard at work completing their Cell Model Project ino rder to learn about cell structures, functions, and organelles.

UTSC recognizes and appreciates the important role substitute teachers play in education. Thank you for ensuring that learning can continue smoothly when a teacher must be absent. We appreciate their flexibility in helping us help students succeed!

11th & 12th grade students visited the Construction & Skilled Trades Fair at the Expo Center on Tuesday. Our students had the opportunity to participate in hands on activities like welding simulations, masonry, pipe cutting, and more! Students were able to speak with journeymen from all the apprenticeships in our area!

Congratulations to Tyne, Caleb, Harper, and Louay for earning Academic all-State Honors from the ISCA!

The WHS Spell Bowl team placed 12th overall out of 30 teams in the state! The words at the state level are more difficult, but the Wheeler team scored higher than they did at area, spelling 60/90 words correctly. Liam King and Christian Cutka both earned "Near Perfect" ribbons, with 8 out of 9 of their words spelled correctly. One of the students' goals was to beat Valparaiso, which they successfully did (by 8 words)! The support they had for one another was phenomenal. They cheered for every word spelled correctly and encouraged one another throughout. Congratulations!

Class of 2026 Students and Families:
Come get your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) questions answered! Experts from @INvestEdIndiana will share an overview of funding options and assist families with completing the FAFSA to avoid common errors. Senior students should attend! Don't just send your parents! :)
Students should bring their chromebooks with them so that they can get on the WIFI and log into their FAFSA.

🎳 Celebrating 25 Years of WHS Bearcat Bowling! 🎳 A heartfelt thank you to all of our coaches past and present for the leadership, passion, and teamwork. And a very special thank you to retired teacher and Bowling Coach Mary Jarosz, whose vision and dedication launched this program 25 years ago. We are excited to celebrate this milestone and recognize the legacy she started. 💚🧡

Wheeler High School was proud to help host the UTMS Veteran's program. High school and middle school students invited veterans to the program where the choir performed, winning essays were read, and special guest Erik Flores spoke. The organization Quilts of Valor gave beautiful quilts to several veterans, including a former Wheeler graduate. We celebrate, honor, and appreciate our veterans today and every day.
