Congratulations to Wheeler head football coach, Nick Testa, for winning the 2024 GSSC Coach of the Year award. Coach Testa also won the award last year. Great day to be a Bearcat!

Mrs. Laba's AP Chem students have been busy in the lab this trimester! They synthesized zinc iodide, became experts at titration, and collected and analyzed temperature data to determine the heat of neutralization for several reactions.
Reminder that this afternoon is the Wheeler High School winter sports team pictures, senior banner pictures and parent meeting. The parent meeting will be at 6PM in the auditorium. This is only for the high school, and only for winter sports.

Explore, Create, Innovate ~ Bearcats in STEM! We started our 4th Grade STEM fieldtrips to WHS. Our Engineering Course students extended student learning by making student posters interactive through a playdough circuit. What a great experience for all of our Bearcats!

Congratulations to WHS girls soccer coach, Nate Anweiler on being voted GSSC coach of the year by his coaching peers. Coach Anweiler has won the award both years that he has coached the Lady Bearcats. Two sectional championships, and two COY awards. Way to go Nate!

UTSC announces change in November Board Meeting date. A special board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6 at 6:15 PM. The regular board meeting will be on Thursday, November 14 beginning at 7:00 PM. Both meetings are scheduled to be held in Union Township Middle School Commons.

Students in Wheeler High School's dual credit Earth/Space Science classes spent last Friday exploring the geologic history of the NWI region. They examined landforms created during the last ice age such as kettle lakes and moraines, and explored 4,000-15,000 year-old dunes/shorelines created when Lake Michigan was higher than it is today.
